Travel Tips
Description
Ready to explore Lima, one of South America's most vibrant megacities, on your own terms? The Turibus Hop-On Hop-Off is the smartest and most flexible way to discover Lima's highlights — from the clifftop boulevards of Miraflores to the baroque splendor of the Historic Center.
1. HOW THE HOP-ON HOP-OFF SYSTEM WORKS
The concept is beautifully simple: buy your pass, hop aboard our open-top double-decker bus, and jump off at any of our official stops as many times as you like throughout the day. No fixed itineraries, no tour groups rushing you. Just Lima, at your own pace.
2. OUR MAIN STOPS
• Stop 1 – Larcomar (Miraflores): Our flagship starting point, perched on the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. Here you'll find our main customer service desk, souvenir shops, and some of Lima's best seafront restaurants.
• Stop 2 – Huaca Pucllana: A pre-Inca adobe pyramid standing in the middle of a modern residential district. One of Lima's most surprising contrasts — ancient ruins surrounded by contemporary apartment buildings. Dating back 1,500 years, it's a must-see.
• Stop 3 – Plaza Mayor (Historic Center): The political and spiritual heart of Peru, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk to Lima Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the Convent of San Francisco, all within a few blocks of each other.
• Stop 4 – Parque de la Reserva: Home to the Magic Water Circuit, the world's largest fountain complex according to the Guinness World Records. Best visited at sunset when the fountains light up in spectacular colors.
• Stop 5 – Barranco: Lima's most bohemian and romantic district. Street murals, art galleries, the Bridge of Sighs, and the best live criolla music venues in the city await you here.
3. SCHEDULES & FREQUENCY
Turibus runs 365 days a year, including public holidays. Buses depart every 30 to 45 minutes from Larcomar. First departure: 10:00 AM. Last return: 7:00 PM. We recommend starting your tour in the morning to catch the best natural light for photography and avoid peak traffic hours.
4. AUDIO GUIDE IN 4 LANGUAGES
On board you'll enjoy a comprehensive audio guide available in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French. Plug in your headphones and listen to stories, fun facts, and insider tips about each area as Lima's skyline rolls by.
5. PASS OPTIONS
• 1-Day Pass: Perfect for travelers who want to see Lima's essentials in a single day.
• 2-Day Pass: Our most popular option, giving you time to explore at leisure and revisit your favorite stops.
• Family Pass: Special discounts for groups of up to 2 adults and 2 children.
6. TRAVEL TIPS

- The best time to sit on the upper deck is May through November when Lima's sky is clearest.
